Banda Aceh – A proud achievement has once again been attained by a student of the Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK). Cici Lestari was crowned the First Place Winner of the 2026 Aceh Language Ambassador (Duta Bahasa Aceh) Selection, representing Universitas Syiah Kuala and earning the opportunity to represent Aceh Province at the upcoming national-level competition.
The Aceh Language Ambassador Selection is a prestigious annual program organized by the Language Development and Fostering Agency through the Provincial Language Office. The program aims to identify young ambassadors who demonstrate excellence in language proficiency, cultural awareness, leadership, public speaking, and advocacy for the preservation and promotion of the Indonesian language and regional languages.
Throughout the selection process, participants underwent a series of rigorous assessments, including language competency evaluations, interviews, public speaking sessions, leadership challenges, and the presentation of innovative programs related to language and literacy development. Cici Lestari distinguished herself through her outstanding communication skills, strong intellectual capacity, and commitment to promoting linguistic and cultural values among younger generations.
As the First Place Winner, Cici will officially represent Aceh Province at the National Language Ambassador Competition, where she will compete alongside outstanding delegates from across Indonesia. Her participation at the national level is expected to showcase not only her personal achievements but also the academic excellence and leadership qualities fostered at Universitas Syiah Kuala.
